Loan Application Checklist

In general, the documentation you will need includes:

Property information if you are buying a home
Purchase Agreement, if applicable
If you are selling your current home, copy of listing contract.
If you have sold your current home, copy of settlement statement (HUD-1).

Income & Assets

Recent pay stubs 
Statements for each bank, and investment account for the last two months.
  If you own more than 25% of an incorporated business:
   The last two years Corporate or partnership tax returns.
  If you own rental property:
   Current rental agreements.
  If you are retired:
   Pension Award Letter.
  If you receive Social Security:
   Social Security Award Letter.
  If you are receiving or paying alimony or child support:
   Copy of divorce agreement.

VA Loans

Copy of DD Form 214


A copy of your driver's license
Your insurance agent's name and phone number
If refinancing then a recent mortgage statement
